Emily Anadu is Director, Product Marketing at Zynga. As a member of the marketing organization, Emily manages the launch of new games from strategy through execution covering activities from pre- launch through post launch, working across email, network cross promotions, online ad acquisition, biz dev, PR, community/ social media and offline channels. In addition to game launches, Emily has also served as a lead for some of Zynga’s largest marketing initiatives, including Zynga’s promotional partnership with Lady Gaga, Zyngaga. In addition to her ongoing duties, Emily also has a patent pending for a product developed as part of a Zynga hackathon project. Before joining Zynga, Emily was Director of Brand Marketing for Capcom, the Japanese video game publisher responsible for such iconic franchises as Street Fighter, Resident Evil and Mega-Man. In this role, Emily managed a team and yearly marketing budget of $20+ million to develop marketing strategies to launch products/ extensions for video game brands such as Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, Resident Evil and Mega Man ultimately driving sales, buzz and community engagement. In addition to traditional marketing vehicles such as TV and online advertising, Emily drove relationships with promotional and lifestyle partners in categories such as apparel and toys to engage a diverse range of communities, further extending marketing budgets. Her role also involved working closely with external partners such as console manufacturers such as Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo to drive co-marketing programs and retailer partners such as Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy and Amazon to develop in store marketing programs. Prior to these roles, Emily has held roles at Chupa Chups, Atari, and EA SPORTS. Emily has an AB in Sociology from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
