Omar Suardy recently joined Terra Networks as Director of Marketing for Terra USA. As Director of Marketing, Suardy’s responsibilities include developing and managing the organization’s marketing plans and initiatives, executing plans for growth of the Terra audience in the US for both consumer and trade, in addition to implementing PR plans and objectives.
Suardy was most recently Group Media Director for Starcom Worldwide, where he provided strategy and vision for large scale integrated partnerships for global brands and worked to integrate analog media with new media and social media. He was the account lead on clients such as Blackberry, Oracle and Expedia business for Latin America.
While at Starcom Worldwide, he managed the rollout of Blackberry’s 360 brand launch in the Brazilian market, was responsible for the planning, buying and execution of media for all other Latin America roll-out markets and developed the launch strategy for Expedia Brazil.
Prior to Starcom, Omar was the regional account lead for the Hewlett Packard and Puma business in Latin America for Zenith Optimedia, Where he oversaw media strategy and its execution in 9 different countries.
Omar has more than has more than 14 years of combined experience in media positions ranging from Domestic to International, full-service agency to media agency. He has worked at ZenithOptimedia, Starmedia, Young & Rubicam Latin America, Ogilvy & Mather Latin America and McCann Erickson.
Omar Suardy attended the Syracuse University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
